Last Thursday, April 27th , our Grade 5 students presented their PYP Exhibition. This annual event is the culmination of their PYP journey. It is where students showcase all of their achievements, knowledge, skills and attitudes with the entire learning community. Parents and community members were invited to an opening assembly which included music and dance elements to celebrate this learning journey.
This year the Transdisciplinary Theme for the Exhibition was How we express ourselves. During two months, Grade 5 students explored this theme and developed their own inquiries. Their areas of interest were diverse and thought-provoking, it included inquiries about talents and abilities, the role of social media, literature as a means of expression, personality traits, and other real-life issues they identified for their research.
This exhibition proved to be a great opportunity for Grade 5 students to explicitly communicate what they have learned, their reflections and actions to the community in an effective and captivating way.
