French education in Kazakhstan and around the globe

  • an excellent education: 95,9% of baccalaureat exams are passed successfully
  • the diploma is recognised in France, Europe and all over the world
  • the curriculum functions in compliance with the French educational system.
  • a thorough study of foreign languages (French, Russian, Kazakh)
  • a worldwide perspective
  • the possibility to have a coherent course of studies, from pre-school to graduation
  • the experience of the oldest international school system

A unique range of schools in the world

France is the country with the most important range of schools beyond its borders. 494 schools are evaluated by the State Ministry of Education, constituting 320,000 students in more than 135 countries.

The school system contributes to the image, the presence and the influence of France around the globe and promotes the universal humanistic values which are the basis of its republican model.

A guarantee of quality

The certificates issued by the State Ministry of Education guarantees the compliance with all the requirements, programmes, pedagogical objectives and organisational rules of the French educational system.

In the last 20 years, student enrollment in French schools is estimated to have increased by 50%, indicating the high quality of the education. While maintaing the core ethos of the French Baccalaureat, the curriculum includes of local examples, culture, and language.

With 95,9% of students earning successful results in the exams of 2014, more than the half passing with distinction, French graduates proved once more the excellence of this school system.

The curriculum similar to that in France

The French education abroad allows French children not living in France to follow the curriculum which is similar to that in their native country. Specifically, they follow the same programmes and they sit the same exams ( brevet, baccalaureate). The children whose parents often change their country of residence can also have a coherent course of studies, from pre-school to graduation.

As far as the secondary school is concerned, our partners, such as la Mission laïque francaise (MLF) et Centre national d’enseignement à distance (CNED), guarantee the curriculum functions in compliance with the official instructions of the national education. Moreover, our students’ integration into the foreign language lessons of Miras school offers them the curriculum at the international level (the second language from the grade 5, bilingual classes, European and international classes).

The French Section of the Miras International School

The French Section (accredited by the State Ministry Education) addresses all French students who would like to follow the curriculum, in French, that functions in compliance with the French educational system and to prepare them for national French diplomas ( brevet and baccalaureate).

The French Section was founded in September 2011 and was inaugurated by Thierry Mariani, the Minister of Transport in January 2012. The agreement of cooperation between la Mission Laïque Française (MLF) and Nazarbaev’s Foundation of Education was signed in July 2011. The school is also supported by the French companies who assist the project: Total, Airbus, Alstom.

The French Section currently has 4 teachers and 23 students who belong to 3 classes:
