The IB Diploma Programme is the culmination of all the IB programmes our students have studied whilst at Miras International School. It is a passport to the finest universities In Kazakhstan and around the world. Very soon it will be time for our students in Grades 10 to choose what subjects they would like to study for the Diploma Programme (DP). And by the way, we even accept students from Grade 9 providing the school assesses whether they are able to pursue the programme.
Over the next few weeks information about the DP will be provided to students and parents about the advantages of following the DP and how the course is organised. Each subject area will have displays for students in the Secondary Atrium and they will be able to see filmed extracts which explain some of the key components of the course. These include Theory of Knowledge (which asks the questions how do we know what we know?, CAS (Creativity, Action, Service), and the Extended Essay, a student independent study of 4000 words.
