High School
The High school level is represented by two pathways:

• Grades 10–11 — the Miras High School Programme — a two-year course based on the integration of Kazakhstani and international educational standards. The programme is aimed at providing students with specialized preparation for continuing their studies at higher education institutions around the world.  

  • • The Diploma Programme (DP1, DP2) — a two-year International Baccalaureate programme, delivered in English for students aged 16–19 (admission after Grades 9 or 10).
International Baccalaureate Dipoma Programme (IB DP)

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a two-year pre-graduate educational programme for students of the age of 16 to 19. 

Tuition in this programme is in English and is aimed at preparing student for admission to the best universities of the world.

"Miras" School offers the following subjects from the 6 IB subject groups:

  • Language A: English A: Language and Literature, Russian A: Literature 
  • Language acquisition: Language B English, Russian; French ab initio
  • Individuals and Societies: Economics, Business Management, Geography, Psychology
  • Experimental Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Computer Science
  • Mathematics: applications and interpretation
  • Each student is provided with the right to choose one subject from each subject area (at least three subjects are studied at higher level and three –at standard level). 

The tuition on the programme proposes studying of the ‘Theory of Knowledge’ subject, which is compulsory for everyone and is allocated at least 100 hours over the two years of the Diploma Programme.

The completion of the programme is preceded by compulsory external assessment, which is carried out by independent experts of the IB Organization.  To obtain the Diploma on the completion of the programme, the student needs to successfully accomplish all examinations and write an extended essay in the form of a 4,000- word independent research paper and take active part (at least 150 hours) in implementation of the CAS (Creativity. Action. Service) programme.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma is recognized by leading world universities and opens opportunities for enrollment in most universities without entrance exams and Foundation programmes.
