Dear parents,
MIRAS International School—Astana announces the start of the annual competitive selection for educational grants in Grades 10-11 and IB Diploma Program.
The goal of the selection is to identify and support students from State schools with high academic performance, and who are motivated to receive an international education.
Grants are provided in the amounts of 100%, 50%, and 30% of the tuition fee;
Grants need to be approved every semester.
Students eligible to participate in the competition include those who:
have finished Grades 9, 10;
have marks not lower than "good" or "excellent" in all subjects;
have "excellent" marks in the testing subjects: Mathematics, Russian and English;
are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and are students of secondary education organisations.
In the case of a tie in scores, priority will be given to students who are winners or awardees in international and republican subject Olympiads (diploma of the winner, I, II, III degree diploma).
To enroll in Grade 10 or 11, students must undergo tests in the following subjects:
- English (as a second language);
- Mathematics (language of instruction – Russian);
- Russian (essay writing).
To enroll in the IB Diploma Program (language of instruction - English), it is necessary to undergo testing in the following subjects:
- English;
- Mathematics (language of instruction – English).
Dates for the competitive selection process are as follows:
- Documents admission: February 1 – May 3, 2024;
- Subject testing: April 17 – May 10;
- Summarising exam results: May 15 – May 31;
- Announcement of the results: June 1 – June 15.
To participate in the grant selection, you need to provide:
